The official season launch for West Coast Fever’s 2010 ANZ Championship campaign will take place on Thursday 11 March at Challenge Stadium from 6.00pm.

As a curtain raiser for the launch, West Coast Fever will take on the best from the west against the Netball WA President’s 12 in a free event for all.

Netball WA’s President Mick Pember believes this year will be an even bigger spectacle than the inaugural year

“This event has now become an institution for WA’s elite athletes, boasting the best netballers from Western Australia, and with Tim Gossage on our side we have a great chance”, Mr Pember said.

Fever coach Jane Searle says her team will utilise this match as further preparation for the 2010 ANZ Championship season. “I will be making the most of this game as a way of preparing Fever for their season ahead”, she said.

“The athletes have been training extremely hard for a number of months now, and it will be interesting to see how the strongest athletes in the local competition will play against my team”, Searle said.

The talented WA athletes making up the President’s 12 have all been picked from the Smarter than Smoking State Netball League and include:
