WA`s past and present athletes were honoured at the annual Netball Australia Awards Dinner on Saturday night in Melbourne, with West Coast Fever star Andrea Gilmore and former WA legendary players and Australian captains, Jill McIntosh and Gaye Teede all taking out awards.

Andrea Gilmore was
honoured with the ANPA Australian 21/U Team Player of the Year award while Jill McIntosh and Gaye Teede were inducted into the Australian Netball Hall of Fame as Athlete Members.

The ANPA Australian 21/U Team Player of the Year is decided by a group of selectors and coaches as well as her peers. The 3,2,1 votes are collected after every international match in the calendar year.

“I am thrilled and honoured to have received this award”, Andrea said.

“I want to thank everyone who helped me achieve it, especially my team mates and the Australian Netball Players Association” she said.

Andrea came away with a cash prize and a winner’s plaque.
Congratulations Andrea!
