Netball WA, in conjunction with the 11 regions in Western Australia, aim to provide athletes, coaches and umpires with a range of development opportunities. Netball WA is able to provide a range of on and off court opportunities to assist athletes, coaches and umpires reach their maximum potential.

The Netball WA Academy Program was introduced in 2002 in order to develop a sequential parthway for athletes, coaches and umpires in Western Australia and Netball WA is continually looking for ways to intensify and better the program.

Recognised across the country for its success, the Netball WA Academy Program won the 'Provision of Sport and Recreation to Regional Western Australia' award at the 2005 WA Sport and Recreation Industry Awards and was shortlisted as a finalist in the Ausport Awards 'Rural and Regional' category for 2006.
