Netball WA offers the following Netball Australia Accredited Courses:

Level I Umpires Course

The Level 1 Umpire Education Course provides an introduction to the basic techniques and knowledge required of a netball umpire.  It is a prerequisite for all levels of practical testing.

This course is four hours in duration.  You will be required to attend and participate fully in all components of the course.  All participants receive an Umpires Course Manual, which outlines all components of the course and a certificate upon completion.  This course is a pre-requisite for being eligible to be tested for a National ‘C’ Badge.  This course costs $60.00 (inclusive of GST) per participant and is held throughout the year at various locations.  You must be an affiliated Netball WA member to attend this course.  These times and locations are updated regularly and Registrations forms are available by contacting your nearest Association or Region.

• 2^nd Quarter: Let’s Play
• 3^rd Quarter: The Game’s The Thing
• 4^th Quarter: Putting It Together

Level II Umpires Course

The Level II Umpire Education Course has been designed to further develop your umpiring skills, techniques, and increase your understanding of the procedures and protocols of a higher level of umpiring and generally extend your parameters as a netball umpire.

 The Level II Umpires Course outline is as follows:

• Warm Up: Making your move
• 1^st Quarter: Getting it right from the start
• 2^nd Quarter: Reading the Game
• 3^rd Quarter: Your decision counts
• 4^th Quarter: Under the spotlight
• Warm Down: Making your next move

Rules in Action

This course is 2 hours in duration and costs $16.50 (inclusive of GST) per participant and all participants receive a certificate upon completion.  You will be required to attend and participate fully in all components of the course.  This course is a pre-requisite for being eligible to betested for a National ‘A’ Badge.
