The Tasman Trophy Joint Venture - a joint venture between Netball Australia and Netball New Zealand.

How many clubs will there be and where are they from?

Queensland
South Australia

New Zealand

What’s the competition like from New Zealand?
The New Zealand teams come into the ANZ Championship after a decade of strong competition in the National Bank Cup. For many years Southern Sting was the dominant team, but over the last few years the competition has intensified, with the semi finalists unknown until all the round robin games were concluded. With eight teams going into five, it’s expected that like Australia, the New Zealand teams will be made up of the very best talent, and the kiwis will want to make their mark on the competition just like our teams.

How will the ANZ Championship affect Australia’s elite netballers?
The ANZ Championship is viewed as a major step forward towards professionalism for Australia’s elite netballers. Club salary caps will be introduced for the very first time (meaning higher wages for athletes), athletes will compete internationally, and athletes/clubs will be given far more media exposure both in Australia and New Zealand.

Where will West Coast Fever’s home games be played?
Challenge Stadium.

Who is West Coast Fever’s major sponsor?
Yet to be confirmed.
